AutoL was founded by a core team of four engineers,
leveraging the advanced LiDAR sensor development experience gained during
its time as an in-house startup at Hyundai Motor Company.
Additionally, the AutoL team became complete by including four more engineers,
including two software specialists from Hyundai WIA, part of the Hyundai Motor Group.

AutoL Inc. was started in 2019 through Hyundai Motor’s in-house startup program,
and was spun off from Hyundai Motor Company in May 2021 and established under the current company name.
To overcome the limitations of the existing LiDAR market,
AutoL aims to apply to autonomous vehicles and industrial robots based on high resolution, small size,
and high price competitiveness.
The technological level has already reached the domestic leading level,
and we are striving for full-fledged commercialization through ‘active technological exchanges
and collaborations’ with car manufacturers, research institutes, and autonomous driving-related developers.
